Second Sky to publish two adult fantasy romance titles by Kaylie Smith

Consultant Associate Publisher Jack Renninson at Second Sky, has acquired World English-language rights (including audio) for two adult fantasy romance titles by Kaylie Smith, author of young adult fantasy A RUINOUS FATE. The deal was negotiated with Emily Forney at Bookends Literary.

Set in a magical New Orleans, the first book follows a young woman who enters a deadly competition in a haunted gothic mansion, striking a bargain with a handsome and mysterious spirit in order to survive challenges inspired by the nine circles of hell and uncover the secrets of the house.

The second book will feature another dangerous magical game, held in an Italian palazzo.

The first title will publish in September 2024.

Renninson says,
