Second Sky to publish four fantasy romance titles by Alexis L. Menard

Second Sky is thrilled to announce the acquisition of two romantasy series by Alexis L. Menard.

Consultant Associate Publisher Jack Renninson acquired World English Language ebook and print rights to four books from Emily Forney at BookEnds Literary Agency. Second Sky will publish all titles in partnership with the Forever imprint of Grand Central Publishing, with Sabrina Flemming editing.

Set in a magical city where gangs and business empires struggle for power, Menard’s stories combine twisting action and underworld politics with searing slow-burn romance. They have more than 7,000 five-star ratings on Goodreads and a passionate following on BookTok.

Two previously self-published titles, House of Bane and Blood and City of Mirth and Malice, will be re-released with new cover designs. Second Sky will take over ebook publishing in June 2025, with paperback editions releasing in September and December 2025. A new 2-book series set in the same world will release in 2026.
