Second Sky acquires a cosy fantasy series by Genevieve K. Thomas

Second Sky will publish two cosy romantic fantasy titles by author Genevieve K. Thomas. Commissioning editor Sophie Judge acquired world English language rights, including audio, from Kiya Evans at Paper Literary, with the first title scheduled for publication in September 2026.

Set in the enchanting village of Little Sparrow, the debut follows a heartbroken woman who moves into a wonky, magical cottage teeming with unruly creatures, hidden secrets and unexpected charm. As she restores the house with help from a frustratingly irresistible local farrier, she must also decide whether she’s brave enough to believe in love again.

Brimming with small-town charm, gentle magic, and slow-burn romance, this heartwarming debut is perfect for fans of Hex Appeal and The Spellshop.

Judge says,
